PROVIDENCE POINT

Leadership trainings and camps take place at Providence Point Camp located at 251 Providence Point Ln, Lanark, ON. Providence Point gives youth time to be in nature and enjoy outdoor activities, such as canoeing and kayaking. The out-of-city environment allows the group to disconnect from technology and build friendship with like-minded peers while making plans for their community.

Sleeping arrangements

Dorms are cabin style with bunk beds and are separated by boys and girls.

food

All meals will be provided.

water activities

The camp is located next to a calm river. Participants can enjoy supervised canoeing with a life jacket. Swimming is not permitted unless a lifeguard is present.

transportation

Participants will travel by school bus from the South-East Youth Education Centre.

• Clothes and pyjamas (summer wear in the summer, winter wear in the winter)

Information

All youth are required to submit a signed waiver before the bus departs. Parents are welcome to come to the camp as volunteers. Please let us know if you wish to do so.
